Computer Games

        Today's prompt is asking if i agree that playing computer games is a waste of time and should not be allowed. Honestly, my answer will be yes and no. There are ways that playing computer games can benefit a person and there are ways where it can truly ruin a person. Should they be allowed? Yes of course. Why would society need to ban computer games? I don't think computer games are that bad of a thing for people in order for them to ban them. Here are some reasons why I say that computer games are a waste of time and are also not a waste of time, but beneficial.

         First, computer games are a waste of time because they sometimes get people addicted. Some of my classmates play games all the time and I don't know why. Every class period they play the same game over and over again. Sometimes it's all they can talk about. Computer games can be a bad way to use free time also. Rather than staying in your dark room playing computer games, you should go out with your friends and have a good time. By good time I don't mean go out and play computer games with your friends. Something like go play a sport or watch a movie or maybe party like there's no tomorrow. Computer games can cause people to be anti-social. If a person is so addicted to computer games and that's all that they think about, they might not have many friends to interact with in real life. The only friends they will have is their online friends in the game world. This can be really unhealthy and harmful for the person. Having a social life and interacting among people is extremely important in everyones lifestyle. One cannot just live life avoiding people in the real world and go about their days playing computer games all the time. Too much computer games can hurt your eyes as well. Many "gamers" are visualized as geeks with glasses and a gaming t shirt. The reason they have glasses is probably because they play so much computer games that it ruined their vision! Having glasses is technically not a bad thing at all, but having glasses means you need special help in order to see. Why need help if only you had protected yourself before it all happened? Also lag on computer games can cause stress for the gamer and can lead to violence if the gamer is angry enough.


        Next, computer games are beneficial in that one can learn many things from games. Different strategies are placed in games and a person can really learn from that. For example, if you are playing an NBA game, you can use your player and practice moves against the computer. However, when you witness your player doing those moves, you can practice them in real life. This is a really beneficial way to learn and get better at basketball. Many people also play Call of Duty. Because of that, they know many things about guns or military strategies. Some people get influenced to join the army because of Call of Duty. Games are extremely famous among people nowadays and have a great influence on their lives as well.
       

        I believe that computer games should be allowed, but have a limited amount of time that it is able for usage. Games can be very beneficial to people, but too much games can be very harmful. If everyone can just limit the amount of time that they play computer games, they can actually get benefits from the computer games.

Define Beauty

According to the Merriam websters dictionary, the definition of beauty is the quality or aggregation of qualities in a person or thing that give pleasure to the sense. Amen to that. I think this is an excellent definition, the definition does not specifically refer to a person, but to things as well. For example,  if someone goes to the Eiffel Tower, they might use beautiful to describe it.

When I was growing up and asked my older sister wat beauty was she told me that its something that women have, when you feel like you like a person then they have beauty. At first I thought that this meant liking them because of their physical features, what I didn’t realize is that beauty can be found in many different forms. The first form of beauty as mentioned earlier is in physical characteristics. I’ve seen many girls that I felt attracted to and wanted to talk to simple because I like the way that they looked. For example, Melanie Iglesias. She is my women crush and she’s the absolute person who has beauty in my mind. She’s flawless and phew.

The second form of beauty is not something that can be seen, but what truly makes a woman beautiful is when theyre beatufiul on the inside. Some of the most beautiful women I know are also the kindest women I know. For example, my mother. My mother is not only a beautiful woman because of her physical appearance, but she is also beautiful because of her attitude; she is the most caring, hardworking, and loving woman that I know. Many women are voted as the most beautiful women in the world, but might have a horrible attitude. To me, this is not beauty. Beauty must and always will start from the inside. If someone is beautiful but has a terrible attitude, they aren’t beautiful. However, if a girl who isn’t counted as beautiful by society has a good heart and cares, they have the best beauty possible. “Real beauty” if you can say.

In my opinion, what truly makes a girl beautiful is her attitude and disposition. I would much rather want to get to know a woman that always has a positive outlook on life, rather than one who only sees the bad side of things. Beauty is not something that can be defined as just physical or emotional characteristics because beauty can be seen or interpreted differently in all cases. One might think someone is the most beautiful person they have ever seen, and another person might not think the same thing. In my opinion, everyone has a fair share of beauty but it takes a stronger person to show off all of their characteristics of beauty. The factor of the person who witnesses the beauty also has a big part in my mind. It is like a rainbow. In order to have a rainbow, you must need three important things. Rain, water, and a person to witness it. Without a person to witness, a rainbow will not shine. Personally, I believe this goes the same with beauty in people. In order to have beauty, one must witness it. I’m not saying there is no beauty if no one thinks you’re beautiful, not at all. Every girl has their personal share of beauty, and it takes a real man to find the beauty in all girls. 

Stranded

Todays prompt is asking if I was stranded on a desert island, what are three things that I would take with me. I have stumbled upon this prompt many times before. In middle school I was constantly asked this question and if I remember correctly, I gave pretty much the same answer for every single time it was asked. Some common answers may vary from having unlimited amount of food supply, an airplane to get away, and the most popular answer I’ve heard is wifi. Nowadays everyone needs to have wifi or they’ll fall over dead or something. This might include me at times, but wifi will not be one of the three things I would take with me to a deserted island. The three things that I would bring with my if I was stranded on a desert island would be an unlimited amount of food and water, sticks and stones to build a fire, and the girl for me. 

Obviously food and water is important if one is stranded. Having an unlimited source of food and water will definitely help me to survive stranded. Without food and water, I will either die from starvation or dehydration, or have to hunt food on my own and find a source of water on my own. If there is no source I will have to drink my own pee, and I will definitely not do that. I saw a guy do it on TV to survive, but no way. Nuh uh. I am not doing that. The food can be any type of food that is easy to eat and can be filling. Ofcourse I am not thinking about medium rare steaks, but something simple like sandwiches. Something easy to make also because I will have the duty of making the food since there is not chef with me. 

Sticks and stone to build a fire is a useful thing to have because at night, it will be cold and I won't be able to see well. If I have sticks and stones to build a fire, I will have the warmth and be able to see in the dark up until the sun rises. Also, I can make food with the fire. I can roast a chicken or something that is in the unlimited amount of food. That will be very useful in need for survival. The sticks and stones don't have to only be for fire too. If there is a predator trying to attack me, I can use the sticks and stones as weapons against the weak predator. The predator will have nothing on me. Fear will only make me lose and the predator win. Fear is a choice. I can either choose to fear the predator and let it attack or take action and be fearless when attacking the predator. After I attack the predator, I will probably eat it if it is edible. 

Lastly, the girl for me will be there with me when I'm stranded to keep me company. Being alone, stranded for who knows how long is not an easy thing to do. Going against predators and weather problems will be such a difficult task and one must have motivation or to strive something to do that. With the girl for me, we can work together in surviving together. Protecting her will be my main objective and I won't ever fail in doing that. We can build a tent together to give us shelter and can protect us from the horrible heat or the  creepy coldness. Not only will she not make me lonely, I can actually have a good time being stranded because of her. No one else but us two. 

What do I want on my tombstone?

       What do I want on my tombstone? Honestly, I have never really thought about it. I tend to stay away from the topic death as much as possible because death is such a horrible thing that can happen. In only a second, one's life is gone. Nothing more he or she can do. From then on, there are only memories for other people, no more new experiences. Having lost a loved one is the worst of them all. Anyways I have no choice but to write about this because it is on prompt number 15, but I wouldn't put anything too extreme on my tombstone. It feels like such disrespect if someone was too put a joke or something on their tombstone. The person is dead. It is not a joke at all.


         Now back to the prompt. On my tombstone, I would want the simple, usual version that most people use:

"Was a great man... blah blah blah"

I would want my full name, birthdate to death date, and a quote that one of my family members will write. To make things a little more exciting, I would want a slide show presentation on my tombstone that shows pictures of me and my loved ones with all memories. I would want the slideshow to be placed inside the translucent tombstone head. It will be really cool I think to have that, because I have never seen it before in my life. By the time I die, I'm pretty sure the technology will be so advanced that something like that will be a piece of cake to make. The slide show can have however many pictures the person who builds my tombstone wants, but I want it to be everlasting. The slideshow will go on forever and ever just to show the memories that I had with my loved ones with the people who will walk by my grave. During the slide show, it will name every person's name that is displayed on the picture. I want everyone to know the people that were close to me. Ofcourse, my family will be the first to be displayed on the slide show. Family is always first no matter what. Without family, there is no you. You don't live when you don't have family. Having a family is the best things that can happen. Having people that have your back. Love you endlessly. Fight for you. There isn't anything better than that. I guess having a family is the best thing that happens for a child, but making a family is even a better decision that happens to adult. Or nowadays teens... like in teen moms. Ok just kidding. But honestly, I love my family. There's no way I can put anyone above them. If I have a girlfriend, she won't be ahead of my family until she IS my family. She might not like that, but hey family is always first for me.


       After my family, I would want to have my closest friends in the slideshow. Goofy pictures, serious pictures, meaningful pictures, EVERYTHING. I want all the pictures that are taken with or of me to be on the slide show. It will be the best of memories. People can stop by the grave and can literally watch my life story. Maybe. They can witness all the deepest memories I've cherished with people and I want them to witness that. Once I'm dead, there's nothing to hide, so I want to let it all out in the display of the slide show.

The television has a greater affect on people's lives than the telephone has: agree or disagree?

TV or Telephone

           I think that both the television and the telephone has a great impact on people's lives ever since they were first invented, up to now. Some people's way of thinking is thoroughly based on the scenery that is being shown on TVs. For guys it's getting real buff and handsome so that they can get all the girls who have the perfect body, which is pretty much just a skinny body and attractive. Even though I believe both the TV and the telephone have a great effect on people's lives, I think the TV started out with the greater effect on people's lives because it came out first. However, nowadays people can literally stream TV shows on the phones! Thus, I think that the phone has a greater affect on people's lives today. One example is music. Music moves peoples. When a person is sad, sad music makes the person feel or if a person is happy, happy music will make the person feel. Music gives such a massive effect of feeling in a person. With a phone, a person can listen to music anytime of the day like I do.

         

          A big reason of how the phone has a greater effect on people's lives is that everyone is almost ALWAYS on their smart phones. At a restaurant, I always see couples eating together but they are both on their cellphones not even interacting with each other. The only time they interact at the table is either when they are about to take selfies and post it somewhere. This is a massive effect, but not a good effect. Where's the interaction? Your body is at the table, but you are in a different world. The cyberworld. People use their cellphones for almost everything and anything. Taking pictures is one of the most uses that a person uses with their phones. This is also a great effect because it cherishes memories that the person ha experiences. It captures the moment. Not only can the phone take pictures, but it can also take videos and usually, these capture the moment better than a picture. The phone has also been a great effect on peoples lives in that it gives people the opportunity to keep in contact with other people who aren't even near you. You can call people just to check how they're doing or to have a conversation or to figure out what's the plans for the day. Back in the day, people had to meet face to face or write letters to have a conversation. Obviously, having a phone is such an easier way to contact a person. With the TV, one cannot contact with another person. The only effect that the TV gives on a person is through visual experiences. Everything the person sees on TV is an effect on the person. However, nowadays I believe more people are on their phones rather than on the TV all day. Personally, I believe the cellphone brings people closer better than the TV does.

          Todays phone specs can allow a person to stream the internet as well. The internet is such a useful thing, dangerous thing, and also can give one of the most effects on a person. Anyone can post anything on the internet and there will be people out there that will truly believe it. Most people who are on their phones all the time are using the internet. Many things can be displayed on the internet such as how the perfect person should look like. The person reading that article will most likely believe that that is how the perfect person should look like and figure out that they don't look anything like that. They can be depressed and bad problems can happen. Another dangerous thing that can happen on the internet is cyber bullying. This is such a big topic and needs to be stopped. Many teenagers have committed suicide because of this. That has such a great effect on the person. 

Define Success

       
             In my opinion, success is not an object but a feeling that one experiences after accomplishing a goal or getting past an obstacle. If one sets new years resolutions and achieves everything they put down on the list, I believe that is success. The feeling that you feel after achieving something is such a special feeling. It is like you knowing you've finally finished your goal and have been successful. Another meaning for success is being successful in life. The definition is totally up to the person's mind set. If a man thinks getting drunk everyday and loses money everyday is success, and truly believes he is successful in life, that's his meaning of success. Most people think having a job that pays great money, big expensive houses and cars, and an amazingly attractive spouse is success. That seems like more of a realistic definition of success. I can agree to that, but that is not my definition of success.


          Achieving success is something everyone can experience. The only way they can experience it is by going after it yourself. Success is not going to come your way on its own. For example, if you want to win a marathon race, you won't be able to win without putting the work and practice in. There's no way you can win a marathon without any practice. You're going to be extremely likely to pass out because you can't finish the race. If you want to win a marathon race, you need to run daily. If you run everyday, you're get stamina and running will get a little easier for you since your body is used to it. After you cross that finish line in winning ways, you'll definitely experience the true meaning of success. It's such an amazing feeling that one can experience.


         

          I have never ran a marathon, but I have definitely experienced success many times in my life. For example studying 5 hours straight for an exam and getting a 100% on the exam is a great example of success. This is a common success feeling that most students experience. The best success feeling that I have experienced was when I scored twin goals to lead NMI over Macau in the u15 EAFF tournament. The feeling was one of the best feelings I've ever felt. Other than personal experiences, scoring that goal is such an accomplishment of mine. NMI has never won a game in international competition until that moment. I literally made history and that's an amazing thing. I put so much work in that summer and all the work came through. Ever since then, I have worked hard for soccer every day. Just recently, I scored the game winner in a men's league match in the final 5 minutes. Scoring goals to win games is the greatest success feelings for me. Scoring goals in general is also a success feeling for me.


Success is something a person should aim for all the time. Set goals and achieve them, then you will feel the feeling of success. Experiencing success makes one feels 10000000% relaxed and grateful for a while. The feeling of success can never be crushed and that's why it's such an amazing feeling. One of the best feelings in the world. Love is most likely the number one feeling a person can experience. Or well it is for me.
